Perfectly Fine Produce CSA

A weekly subscription of fresh, certified organic DISCOUNT veggies!

Funny shapes. Maybe a few spots.
But perfectly fine fresh, delicious & nutritious organic produce.

Eat like your local veggie farmer this season with our new Perfectly Fine Produce CSA!

We’re thrilled to launch this discount produce CSA — a dream 15 years in the making!

  • Over a decade ago, Valerie & Eli day dreamed about ‘Perfectly Fine Produce’ - a subscription or food truck that sold discount veggies otherwise destined to the compost pile. As young farm workers, we found ourselves rich in organic produce — all the ‘seconds’ that couldn’t be sold. These were nutrient-dense, fresh veggies that modern day grocery store standards excluded because they had funny bumps, a few bruises or blemishes. Other times, there was simply too much to sell or donate before the veggies went by. We’ve been part of food restoration programs at farms, grocery stores and restaurants, and despite best efforts, so much good food still goes to waste. As people who grow food, our hearts break when we fathom how many in our community and around the globe experience hunger while we live in a world that could grow enough to feed us all but throws so much food away instead.

We recognize how expensive and exclusive certified organic, locally grown produce can be. If we don’t grow it ourselves, we often can’t afford it either. The combination of so much food getting wasted with a high price tag getting in the way for people to access local food goes against everything we know as farmers. This is why we partner with Willing Hands, Green Mountain Farm to School, Intervale Food Hub, Vermont Food Bank, Food Not Cops and other organizations around the region. But we know there’s still people who miss out!

Our hope is that this CSA offers you the experience of seasonal abundance and honest produce that fuels your local farms — the misshapen, too big, too small, too abundant veggies that you can bet your local land workers are eating. We can personally attest that this produce is perfectly fine, it’s what we eat everyday!

  • Honey Field Farm on Mondays, 4 - 7 pm

  • Lebanon Farmers Market on Thursdays, 4 - 7 pm — moves to Lucky’s Coffee Garage in October

Weekly CSA pick ups from June 22 - October 29

  • Come to the farm or market to get your share. Boxes are prepared and ready to go for an easy pick up.

  • Enjoy a brimming paper shopping bag’s worth of fresh certified organic veggies and herbs - $30-$50 weekly value.

  • We’ll email you ahead of time with your produce line up for that week, recipes and tips for some of the many ways you can prepare and preserve the abundance.

What happens if I miss my weekly pickup?

  • We offer 2 pickup days each week (Mon & Thu). While we ask that you generally stick to your chosen day, you can switch to another if needed!

  • If you’re unable to pick up your share one week, you’re welcome to have a friend or neighbor pick it up for you.

  • If your share is not picked up, it will be forfeit for that week. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds, "double" shares, or pro-rated pricing for missed pickups.

  • We do donate any remaining produce at the end of the week to Willing Hands for distribution to neighbors in need.
